James Douglas

James Douglas joined John Milner Architects in 2017. Jim received a Bachelor of Architecture degree and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University. He has also studied Fine Art at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the Academy of Classical Design in North Carolina. With our firm, Jim participates in preservation, restoration and new design projects in a variety of styles. Prior to joining the firm, Jim worked in high-quality traditional single and multifamily housing. He is an award-winning member of the American Society of Architectural Illustrators and the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art. Jim has served as a mentor for the Schreyer Honors College Mentoring with Honors Program since 2007 and received the Outstanding Scholar Alumni Mentor Award in 2012. Originally from western Pennsylvania, Jim currently resides in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with his wife and two children. He was named an Associate of the firm in 2020.
