Designed in 1895 by the noted architect Frank Furness, this Victorian mansion, in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square neighborhood, was thoroughly restored and adapted to serve as a residence for a young and active family. The handsomely crafted brick and terracotta facade was extensively restored, a new terracotta roof installed and the interior spaces were returned to their original configuration and character, with careful modifications made to accommodate contemporary living. The central organizing feature of the interior is the splendid central hall with leaded glass skylight and surrounding balconies. |
