Designed by architect Frank Furness as the gate house for a large estate near Philadelphia, this diminutive stone building was restored and expanded to serve as a residence for an active family. The new addition, complimentary and in scale and detail to the original building, is clad in horizontal wood siding with a slate roof. The interiors are contemporary in concept and execution, creating a refreshing contrast to the more staid nineteenth century manner of the original gate house. |
