For the past forty years, John Milner Architects has worked with The Chadds Ford Historical Society to ensure the long-term preservation and conservation of this remarkable building. Constructed in 1714 and serving for a time as a popular tavern, the building is one of the earliest and most significant English-built structures in the region. The original exterior brick walls, wood structural framing and extraordinary interior woodwork on both floors have survived largely intact.
