The exterior brick and limestone facades and selected historic interior building components were extensively restored of the University of Pennsylvania’s Quadrangle Dormitories. Commonly referred to as “The Quad,” the landmark residence hall encompasses two city blocks in the heart of the Philadelphia campus. The project was accomplished over a four-year period during the summer months when the dormitories were unoccupied. The Collegiate Gothic style buildings, designed by Cope and Stewardson, are situated to form five interior courtyards.
