Before

The 1925 vaudeville and silent movie house in downtown Gettysburg was restored to its original Colonial Revival splendor while incorporating modern technical standards for the performing arts, cinema, and audience comfort. With the addition of two modern cinema spaces adjacent to the main theater, the Majestic now operates as a performing arts venue. The building once again features poly-chromed walls and ceilings, stained-glass lighting and decorative woodwork and plaster in the main performing and lobby areas along with a sidewalk cafĂ©; concession areas; a private patrons’ lounge; administrative offices; and complete back-of-house support space.
