Before

The inspiration for this fieldstone residence was the agricultural compounds that can be seen along hillsides in the South of France. The distinctive massing of those stone buildings, their enclosed courtyards, the profiles of the clay tile roofs and the placement of fenestration are all features that define their character. This “style” was entirely adaptable and complementary to hillsides in Chester County, and to our clients’ program requirements for their new residence. The floor plans are organized around a “great room” to accommodate large family gatherings which can flow naturally to outdoor living space and gardens.
