This design of this residence in rural Chester County, Pennsylvania was inspired by the groupings of stone buildings found in the agrarian landscape of the South of France. Organized around a central walled courtyard, the floor plan provides a vistas through the house and to enclosed garden and surrounding countryside. Our clients’ love of cooking, and for entertaining while cooking, are reflected in the large kitchen with ample space for gathering and dining in front of a raised-hearth fireplace. The architects incorporated a number of antique architectural components which they acquired in France.
